New locks after a move, a lost key, or a bad feeling.
Lock changes and replacements, fitted the same day
Just moved in and don't know who else has a key. Lost a set. Left one in the door for a week. Whatever the reason, a lock change is quick — labour is £61 per lock plus the cylinder, and we carry good-quality replacements on the van.
- Good-quality cylinders and locks — anti-snap where they fit, not the cheapest option
- We match new locks to the doors you have, not a one-size kit
- A free quote, agreed before we arrive
What we get called out for
- Just moved house and want every external lock changed
- Lost keys, or keys stolen along with a bag or wallet with your address in it
- A key snapped or was left in the lock and you'd rather replace than repair
- An ex-partner, former tenant or old cleaner still has a key
- Worn cylinder that's getting stiff and you want it swapped before it fails
- Want all your external doors on one key so you're not carrying a bunch
What's included
- Removal of the old cylinder or lock and a like-for-like or upgraded replacement
- Anti-snap euro cylinders to TS007 3-star / Sold Secure where the door takes them
- Keying external doors alike on request so one key runs the house
- A check that the door still closes and locks cleanly on the new lock
- The old locks handed to you or taken away, your choice

Questions we get asked
- Should I change the locks when I move house?
- Yes. You have no idea how many keys are out there — previous owners, their family, builders, cleaners, estate agents. Changing the external cylinders on the day you move in is cheap peace of mind. It's labour at £61 per lock plus the cylinders.
- Do I need to change the whole lock or just the barrel?
- On a uPVC or composite door, almost always just the euro cylinder — the barrel the key goes into. The multipoint mechanism stays. On a wooden door with a mortice lock, the whole lock case is usually changed. We'll tell you which applies to your doors.
- Can you put all my doors on one key?
- Yes, on request. We supply cylinders keyed alike so a single key opens the front, back and side doors. Handy, though worth thinking about — one lost key then affects every door.
- How much does it cost to change a lock in Bedfordshire?
- Labour is £61 per lock. A replacement euro cylinder is £56–£124 depending on the security rating. A BS 3621 mortice lock is from £124 supplied and fitted. You get the full figure before we start.
- What locks do you fit — are they any good?
- We carry known brands, and anti-snap TS007 3-star / Sold Secure cylinders where the door takes them. Snapping a cheap cylinder is the most common way uPVC doors get forced, so the upgrade is usually worth the few extra pounds.
