Close the weak point before someone else finds it.
Anti-snap and BS 3621 lock installation across Bedfordshire
Cylinder snapping is the quickest way into a uPVC door, and a lot of insurers now want a BS 3621 lock on wooden ones. We fit anti-snap, anti-drill cylinders and 5-lever mortice locks to standard — from £225, with a one-year warranty.
- Cylinders to TS007 3-star / Sold Secure Diamond; mortice locks to BS 3621
- One-year warranty on the installation
- We fit what your door and your policy actually need — no overselling

Questions we get asked
- What is an anti-snap lock and do I need one?
- It's a euro cylinder built with sacrificial sections, so if someone tries to snap it the outer part breaks away and the lock still holds. If you have a uPVC or composite door with a plain cylinder, it's the single most worthwhile upgrade — snapping is the most common forced entry on those doors.
- What does BS 3621 mean?
- It's the British Standard for a lock that resists drilling, picking and forcing, marked with a kitemark. Many home insurance policies require a BS 3621 deadlock on final exit doors. If yours does and you don't have one, a claim can be refused.
- How much does a high-security lock cost fitted?
- From £225 for supply and fit, depending on how many doors and which locks. An anti-snap cylinder on its own is £56–£124 fitted. A BS 3621 mortice lock is from £124. The work carries a one-year warranty.
- Will new high-security locks help with my insurance?
- Often, yes — meeting the lock standard in your policy is sometimes what makes the cover valid, and some insurers reduce the premium for approved locks. Check your policy wording; we'll fit to the standard it names.
- Can you match the new locks to one key?
- Yes. We supply keyed-alike cylinders so the upgrade doesn't leave you juggling a separate key for every door.
