Locked out or shut out in Bedfordshire — sorted, any hour.
Emergency locksmith covering Bedfordshire, 24 hours a day
Locked out, snapped a key, or the door won't lock and it's dark and cold. Call Gabriel, send a photo of the lock, and you get the likely price before anyone drives out. From £90, with a free quote first and non-destructive entry wherever the lock allows it.
- Working across Bedfordshire since 2015
- A free quote — you hear the price before the van moves
- Non-destructive entry wherever the lock allows it
What we get called out for
- Locked out of the house with the keys on the kitchen table
- Key snapped off in the lock, or turns round and round without catching
- uPVC or composite door where the handle lifts but the key won't lock it
- Front door slammed on the latch with nobody home to let you in
- Came home to a forced door or window after a break-in
- Locked inside — bathroom or bedroom handle has failed with someone behind it
- Key left in the other side of the door so yours won't go in
- Lock seized solid in the cold and now nothing turns
What's included
- A proper talk-through on the phone first — often with a photo — so you know what it likely is and what it likely costs
- Best-case and worst-case price before we drive, not a number invented on your doorstep
- Non-destructive entry attempted first; drilling only when the lock genuinely leaves no other way
- Same-day repair or replacement of the lock we've opened, if you want it done there and then
- Good-quality replacement locks — anti-snap cylinders and BS-rated locks where they fit — not the cheapest thing in the van
- The mess cleared up and the door checked so it locks properly before we leave

Questions we get asked
- How does the pricing work?
- You get a free, no-obligation quote on the phone before the van leaves — a best case and a worst case, with the reason it might move between them. Send a photo of the lock and it gets tighter still. If you decide not to go ahead once I've seen it, there's nothing to pay.
- How much does an emergency locksmith cost in Bedfordshire?
- A standard lockout opened without damage starts at £90. If the lock is high-security or already broken and genuinely has to be drilled, it can go up to £299, and you'll know that's on the table before I arrive. A new cylinder fitted afterwards is £56–£124 on top depending on the lock.
- Will you damage my door or lock getting in?
- Almost never. Most locks — standard euro cylinders, night latches, mortice locks — open by picking or manipulation with nothing left to show for it. Drilling is a last resort, and it's only really unavoidable on some anti-snap and high-security cylinders that are designed to resist picking. If drilling looks likely, I'll tell you on the phone.
- How quickly can you get to me?
- It depends where you are and what else is on, but I keep the patch tight — Flitwick, Ampthill, Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard and the towns around them — so I'm usually not far. Call and I'll give you an honest time, not a stock '20 minutes'.
- My uPVC door won't lock — is that an emergency?
- If you can't secure the door, yes, treat it as one. Usually it's the multipoint gearbox on the way out or the door dropped out of alignment. I can often get it locking again the same visit; if the gearbox has gone completely it's a part order, and I'll secure the door in the meantime.
- Do you cover break-in repairs at night?
- Yes. After a forced entry the priority is making the property secure again — new locks, the frame and door pulled back into line, anything smashed boarded until it can be replaced properly. That's £99–£386 depending on how much damage there is.
- Can you help if I'm locked in rather than out?
- Yes, and say so when you call — if there's someone behind a failed bathroom or bedroom door, especially a child or an older person, that moves to the front of the queue.
- Which areas do you cover?
- Across Bedfordshire: Flitwick, Ampthill, Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Biggleswade, Sandy, Shefford, Kempston, Houghton Regis, Barton-le-Clay, Silsoe, Clophill, Maulden and Cranfield. If you're just outside and I can't reach you fast, I'll say so and point you to someone who can.
