First job after a break-in: making your home shut again.
Burglary repair and property securing, any hour
Coming home to a forced door is a horrible thing. The priority is simple — get the property secure again tonight. New locks, the door and frame pulled back into line, anything smashed boarded until it can be replaced properly. From £99, and we can be with you any hour.
- 24-hour response — securing the property comes first
- New locks to insurance-friendly standards where they fit
- Board-up now, proper repair booked after — one point of contact
What we get called out for
- Front or back door forced and no longer closing or locking
- Door frame split or the keeps torn out around the lock
- uPVC door snapped at the cylinder in an attempted entry
- Window or patio door smashed and needs boarding tonight
- Locks that a burglar has had access to and need changing for peace of mind
- Attempted entry with visible damage but the door still shuts — needs checking and reinforcing
What's included
- Making the property secure the same visit — that's the point of the call-out
- Door and frame realignment so the door closes and locks again
- Lock replacement, with anti-snap cylinders and BS-rated locks where they fit
- Board-up of smashed glazing or panels until a glazier or joiner can replace them

Questions we get asked
- Can you come out straight after a break-in?
- Yes, any hour. Securing the property is the job we prioritise — a forced door left open overnight is not something to wait on. Call and we'll give you an honest arrival time.
- Will my insurance cover the locksmith after a burglary?
- Most home insurance policies cover emergency securing and lock replacement after a break-in, often up to a set limit. Keep the invoice and any crime reference number. We can't speak for your policy, but we can give you a clear itemised bill for the claim.
- How much does burglary repair cost?
- £99 to £386 depending on the damage. A lock change and a door realigned sits at the lower end. A split frame rebuilt, multiple points repaired and glazing boarded sits at the top. You'll get the range before work starts.
- Should I change all the locks even if only one door was forced?
- Change any lock a burglar had time at, and any that share a key with one that was compromised. Locks on doors that weren't touched are usually fine. We'll tell you honestly which is which rather than replacing everything.
- Do you board up windows as well as doors?
- Yes. Smashed windows, door panels and patio doors get boarded as part of the visit so the property is secure, then you arrange a glazier for the permanent fix.
